The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is a new Agency being established to take a lead role in the area of road safety. The RSA will be a body under the aegis of the Department of Transport will be responsible for-

 

promotion of road safety accident and road safety research driver testing and licensing vehicle standards road haulage enforcement functions registration of driving instructors driver vocational training compulsory basic training for motorcyclists
