Consultation on Selected Vehicle Components

This consultation document proposes that all replacement brake linings, exhaust silencers and coupling devices placed on sale are Original Equipment (OE – i.e. same as originally fitted) or that they are approved replacements to EC or UNECE standards (i.e. “e” or “E” marked). There may be certain exemptions, for example for older vehicles. The consultation closes on the 2nd of March 2012.
