Commercial Vehicle Testing
The Commercial Vehicle Testing Unit is part of Vehicle Standards Section. The aim of the section is to promote safer use of our roads through the development of standards for the use and modification of motor vehicles and the development and implementation of schemes of roadworthiness testing. The Commercial Vehicle Testing Unit has decentralised to Loughrea and the remainder of Vehicle Standards has decentralised to Ballina. Commercial Vehicle testing is primarily responsible for implementing and monitoring of the commercial vehicle roadworthiness system.
