Our mandate

We are the primary organisation responsible for advising and evaluating road safety strategy in Ireland.

We are assisted in this capacity by an Advisory Panel of road safety practitioners who help us prioritise and evaluate policy actions.

As the dedicated agency directly responsible for road safety, we have:

• A clear mandate
• Responsibility for key road safety functions
• Clear lines of accountability
• An organisational structure to deliver flexibility and innovation
• The ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders
