For many new parents, buying a car seat can be overwhelming so to help parents and guardians to work out which car seat is right for their child, the Road Safety Authority is providing a free expert service through its ‘Check it Fits’ Roadshow.

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has issued a ‘Road Safety Alert’ today Friday 23rd November 2012, following a forecast from Met Éireann predicting a very cold night, with temperatures falling to between 0 and -3C.

The Western Region Drugs Task Force has joined forces with the Road Safety Authority (RSA) and An Garda Síochána to put out a warning to drivers this Christmas to stay off the roads if they are under the influence of either drugs or alcohol.

The Road Safety Authority (RSA), Local Authorities, members of An Garda Síochána and the Emergency Services are calling on people to remember the victims of road collisions on ‘World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims’ on Sunday 18 November. This comes as figures reveal that 23,227 people have died on Irish roads to date (13 November 2012) since records began in 1959.
