RSA Check It Fits Coming Soon
We all know how hard it can be to fit your child’s car seat, and that’s once you’ve worked out which one to buy. For many new parents, buying a car seat can be overwhelming so to help parents and guardians to work out which car seat is right for their child, the Road Safety Authority is providing a free expert service through its ‘Check it Fits’ Roadshow.
Research conducted at previous roadshows has highlighted a significant problem with as many as 3 out of 4 parents fitting their child car seat incorrectly. And sadly, if a child car seat isn’t fitted correctly, it could lead to a serious or fatal injury in the event of a crash.
So from Thursday 6 December to Sunday 9 December, ‘Check it Fits’ will be on the road again, visiting Dublin, Cork, Clonmel and Ennis to give parents, guardians and grandparents the peace of mind that their child is travelling safely.
At each venue, the RSA will have a purpose built marquee where a team of experts will check your child’s car seat, free of charge, provide a practical demonstration on how to fit it, and answer any queries you might have.
The ‘Check it Fits’ Roadshow is a free service and will be provided at the following locations:
|Thursday 6 Dec
||Nutgrove Shopping Centre, Rathfarnham
|Friday 7 Dec
||Mahon Point Shopping Centre, Cork
|Saturday 8 Dec
||Tesco Extra, Powerstown Centre, Clonmel
|Sunday 9 Dec
||Lidl, Gort Road, Ennis
