Notification of Extension of 42t Weight Derogation for a Five Axle Articulated Vehicle
The RSA has been notified that the Minister for Transport has approved the continuation of the 42t derogation for a Five Axle (Two Axle Tractor Unit and Three Axle Trailer) Articulated Vehicle until 30 September 2010. The requirements of this derogation are set out in S.I. No. 5 of 2003 article (14).
A review is currently taking place of all maximum Vehicle and Trailer weights. Subject to the recommendations to be implemented from this review the RSA will be in contact early in the new year with any further information on this subject.
