A Provisional Review of Road Crashes for 2014, published by the Road Safety Authority (RSA) today Wednesday 31st December, indicates that for the second consecutive year, deaths resulting from road traffic collisions have increased. A total of 196* people have lost their lives in 2014, compared to 190 in 2013, a 3% rise.

The National Programme Office for Traffic Medicine (NPOTM), a joint initiative between the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) and the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has today launched the first Post Graduate Certificate in Traffic Medicine for doctors and other healthcare professionals.
