Driver training queries

From 10 May 2021, Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) will be allowed to offer Essential Driver Training (EDT) but only to essential workers, please fill in this form if you are an essential worker and want to complete EDT. The ADI portal will reopen from 10 May 2021. Know more >

How to apply for a company card

Who can apply for a Company card?

The person applying for a company card should be the owner, operator or holder of vehicles fitted with digital tachograph recording equipment.

How to apply for a card

If you are making an application for a company card you can:

Apply Online:

You can apply online for a first time application, additional card(s), to renew or replace an existing card.

The fee for online applications is €45.

What do I need to apply online?

  • CRO/PPS Number
  • Email Address
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • Additional/Renewal/Replacement applications, you also need your card/account number.  This is the 16 digit number at 5b on your company card

Apply in Person

Apply in person by attending at our public office, where your application form (PDF) and supporting documentation will be processed.

A company tachograph card costs:

  • €45 if you apply online, or
  • €60 if you apply by post - credit or debit card details only. Cash, postal orders, cheques or bank drafts are not accepted methods of payment.

How long does it take?

It can take between 3 and 4 weeks to process a valid application for a Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Please ensure that you allow plenty of time for your application to be processed.

Invalid or incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant.

Filling out the application form

Application forms should be completed in block capitals in black ink.

Make sure you complete the application form in full to avoid a delay in your application being processed.
