What is My CPC?
With My CPC, Drivers who have already started their Driver CPC periodic refresher training, can now view their own CPC Training Record on line. Their personal record shows which modules have been completed, how long until you need to complete your next module and which CPC Training Organisation has provided the training to you. You can also print off a copy of your CPC training records.
Some good employers ask drivers to prove their compliance with the Driver CPC regulations and this feature will help you to do that. It can also help when attending a job interview to be able to show the interviewer that your Driver CPC is up-to-date.
How do I access My CPC?
Firstly, you must either have already undergone Driver CPC periodic refresher training with an RSA approved CPC Trainer, or recently passed your four Driver CPC tests;
- To view your Driver CPC Training Records, click on MY CPC
- You will then need to register using your driver number, email address and date of birth.
- It will not be possible to create your MY CPC account if you have not yet started Driver CPC periodic refresher training.
- You must have a valid email address to use the CPC Driver portal as this is where the system will send your password to allow you to access the portal.
To enhance security of your record the email address should be your own – if you do not currently have one either create one or ask someone to assist you in creating your own personal email address, it is simple to do and can take less than 3 minutes. Once created, you will not need to do this again unless you want to change your email address. For your data protection, it is not possible to associate more than one driver with a particular email address.
Not yet completed your Driver CPC periodic refresher training?
If you held a full Category D (bus) or C (truck) license, prior to the introduction of Driver CPC and are, or now wish to drive professionally, you should immediately contact an RSA CPC Training Organisation who can advise you on how to qualify or maintain your CPC rights.
Contact your CPC Training Provider
If there are any differences between your online records of CPC Training and the training you believe you have actually completed, then you should contact your CPC Training provider to establish where the difference arises and, if appropriate ask them resolve this with the RSA database. If you have not completed any CPC Periodic refresher training but wish to acquire or maintain your Driver CPC qualification then contact an approved CPC Training Organisation.
After you have completed your CPC Training Cycle
You must complete all 5 modules relevant to your licence within the 5 year cycle (6 modules if your hold Category C & D CPC Qualifications). This maintains your CPC Qualification.
For acquired rights drivers you will be issued with a Driver CPC Card once you have completed all modules of your training cycle and applied for your CPC card using one of the methods available.
Please Note: The RSA will issue your CPC Card application form as soon as you have completed all the required modules – this will help to ensure you receive your Driver CPC Card before the deadline.
Remember that it is an offence to drive professionally without a Driver CPC Card. For acquired rights Bus drivers this training should be completed by 9th September 2013. For acquired rights Truck Driver this is to be completed by 9th September 2014.
