The law on seatbelts in tractors
Under current road traffic law, you do not have to wear a seat belt on a tractor, even where one is fitted. However, we would always advise the use of a seat belt for your own safety.
By law you are not required to have a seatbelt fitted to your tractor however if fitting one, we recommend that it is fitted by a suitably qualified individual (SQI) in line with manufacturer’s specifications and meets the essential technical provisions of Regulation (EU) No 167/2013.
