'Safer Roads' Road Safety Conference
11.03.2026The 2026 National Safer Roads Road Safety Conference and Exhibition will be held on 11 and 12 March 2026 at the Gleneagle Arena, Killarney, Co. Kerry.
The Safer Roads road safety conference is a two-day event focused on improving road safety, reducing traffic-related incidents, and sharing knowledge about best practices for safer road use. Safer Roads encompasses various strategies and efforts across multiple domains, including road design, engineering, enforcement, technology, education, collision trends, improved mobility, cycling, sustainable travel and the role of AI in Road Safety overall.
RSA Chief Executive Officer, Sam Waide is scheduled to speak at the conference, as is Catharina Gunne, Assistant Commissioner for Roads Policing and Community Engagement, An Garda Síochána, and Minister of State Jerry Buttimer TD. Other speakers include Alastair de Beer, Head of Road Safety, Transport Infrastructure Ireland; Anne Shaw, Chief Executive, National Transport Authority; Antonio Avenoso, European Transport Safety Council; and Ciaran Cannon, President of Cycling Ireland.
The RSA will launch its St Patrick’s Day road safety appeal on the 11 March alongside AC Gunne and Minister Buttimer.
