RSA Brings Road Safety Message to All Together Now Festival in Waterford

Road Users 01.08.2025

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is hitting the road once again this summer – this time bringing its safety message to the heart of one of Ireland’s most anticipated festivals, All Together Now, taking place over the August Bank Holiday weekend at Curraghmore Estate, County Waterford.

This high-profile appearance is part of the RSA’s ongoing summer campaign to promote road safety at major music festivals across Ireland. The aim is simple but vital: enjoy the music, but make safe choices – especially when it comes to the journey home.

Festivals are all about letting go and soaking in the atmosphere – but safety doesn’t take a break. That’s why RSA will be on-site throughout the weekend to reinforce two key messages:

  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Always wear your seatbelt

RSA’s Director of Partnerships and External Affairs, Sarah O’Connor, explains the approach: “Through engaging and interactive activations, we’re reminding motorists and families that safety doesn’t stop at the festival gates. We want everyone to enjoy the music and the atmosphere, but support and help people make smart choices about how they travel home and how they continue to use the roads on an ongoing basis.”

One of the standout features of the RSA’s presence at the festival is the FlineBox, a self-service breathalyser powered by Dräger sensor technology – the same used by An Garda Síochána.

This easy-to-use device provides festival-goers with a quick read of their blood alcohol level and delivers one of three results

  • No alcohol – Safe to drive
  • Alcohol present and under the legal limit – Driving not recommended
  • High alcohol - Over the legal limit and must not drive

It’s practical, judgement-free information to help people make informed decisions about driving.

To amplify the message, RSA has partnered with RTÉ 2FM, with presenters encouraging listeners to plan their journeys and check their alcohol levels using the FlineBox. This partnership ensures that the RSA’s road safety message reaches festival-goers and music fans alike, both on-site and at home.

All Together Now 2025 features over 18 stages and a world-class line-up including:

Fontaines D.C., Nelly Furtado, London Grammar, CMAT, Wet Leg, BICEP, Bonobo, The Voidz, and Boomtown Rats, plus fresh additions like the IMRO-curated Flourish Stage, Talks in the Tent, and Brunch on the Bandstand.

If you're attending the festival, don’t forget you can use the FlineBox before getting behind the wheel. Plan your route home ahead of time – taxi, public transport, or a designated driver. And buckle up – always.

The RSA is proud to be part of All Together Now 2025 and to work with RTÉ 2FM in promoting a culture of road safety at festivals across Ireland.

Our goal isn’t to stop the fun – it’s to make sure everyone gets home safe and sound. Because the best festival memories are the ones you live to tell.
