Weather disruptions

Check if your driving test is affected by adverse weather conditions. Tests will be cancelled if conditions are unsafe.

RSA Enforcement

With the expected ratification of the Withdrawal Agreement on the 30th January, the UK will leave the EU at 11pm on the 31st January 2020.

RSA Enforcement and Brexit

While the UK will no longer participate in any of the European institutions, EU law will continue to apply to the UK until the end of what is known as the transition period. During this transition period, the EU and the UK will engage in negotiations to determine their future relationship. The status quo will continue for the duration of the transition period, which, unless extended, is due to end on the 31st December 2020.
There are no implications for RSA enforcement activities during the transition period and national and EU legislation will continue to apply to UK registered vehicles operating in Ireland in the same way as it does currently. Therefore the existing rules will apply in respect of both roadworthiness and tachograph and licensing roadside inspections until 31st Dec 2020.
