As part of the Governments Road Strategy the Road Safety Authority (RSA) is tasked with undertaking a review of the regulation, classification and safety issues surrounding the use of agricultural and works vehicles on public roads.
The consultation was carried out with the following:
- individuals, companies, organisations and associations involved in the use, sale and hire of agricultural vehicles and works machinery
- the general public and other stakeholders who have an interest in the
use of agricultural and works vehicles on public roads.
This aim of the consultation is to developing policy proposals for consideration by the Minister for Transport to regulate this sector appropriately going forward and in particular to maximise road safety.
